So, apparently I haven't posted a new chapter since July. JULY. Were you guys aware of that? Because I wasn't.

The last chapter I posted was Chapter 4, but I'm actually starting on Chapter 10 now, and I've re-edited my story outline to 21 chapters, so I'm almost halfway there! The feeling of accomplishment I'm getting is as terrifying as it is awesome. I've already got my New Year's resolution worked out: To finish this book before the end of 2010 and then work on trying to get it published. As such, I'll probably just leave the four chapters I have up on dA and just leave it at that, but since I'm a desperate attention whore who craves the validation of others like crack I enjoy feedback, if anyone is still interested in critiquing/beta-ing, I might post my newest chapters to the Anomalies/Alliance LJ and friends-lock it.

Anyone interested? Let me know, and I'll start posting Chapter 5 by at least this weekend.

In other news, remember when I had, like, no job? Now I have two. One is a temp-to-hire position that I sure hopes turns to "hire" that'll be five days a week, 8-5, and the second is seasonal, on weekends and evenings. Needless to say, I'm probably going to be very tired and very absent from the internet for a little bit (plus I'm trying to knit two scarves by Christmas, so my hands are usually tied up...lol, sorta-punny). This would also explain why if you left me a comment in the last few weeks, and I still haven't responded back to it, it's because I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Apologies.


Speaking of being busy, some of my friends of Facebook have decided to do a writing game/activity in honor of NanoWriMo, and I still haven't started yet. Mostly because I was thinking of doing my own thing for Nanowrimo, but in reality I haven't written anything in weeks. It's very sad. I am bursting with creative juices (sounds gross) with no time to be...er...juiced? This is getting weird.


Finally, Happy Halloween! I've never been so happy to just stay home and give out candy to trick-or-treaters. Five years of Halloween in Isla Vista will do that to you.

It's short (well, duh) and has a kind of a different flavor than you're probably used to seeing from me. Let me know what you think!
