Oh, Eric. Kindred doesn't have any dinosaurs in it--it's not that kind of time traveling.
I actually read this book a few days after my friends and I were having a conversation about time travel. "If you had to have a body part cut off each time you traveled to the past, would you still do it?" was the question. My answer was a look much like what Karen's giving in the seventh panel. It's the "Look at me again and think about what you just asked me" stare. Hell no, I wouldn't travel to the past, and that was even if I could've kept all my limbs and appendages.
And then I read Kindred
by Octavia Butler, which is about a black woman who time travels back to the antebellum South. Eric's panels are almost a literal representation of myself reading the book. I seriously could not put it down, but also probably made those faces too.
