Some of my favorite characters from the book Havemercy, by Jaida Jones and Danielle Bennett. Rook I ended up liking in spite of myself (considering he's a big ol' jerkass for most of the book, but charming in his own way). Thom, I had to sympathize with; hapless young university student, thrust out into the world and his first job is to teach etiquette to a bunch of military frat boys? I don't envy his position. And Balfour is just adorable; he's the only one (besides Sgt. Adamo, I suppose) who's nice to poor, fish-outta-water Thom.
I think I'm mostly just talking to myself, seeing as how I feel like I'm the only one who's read this book. You know how to remedy that, don't you? Go out and read it; you won't be sorry. |
