A lone figure sat in a brightly-lit cell, clutching a gas mask to her face as her orange eyes scanned the peculiar scene outside of her window. The Men in White were wheeling another subject on a gurney through the hallway, past other cells similar to her own. The subject on the gurney was tossing and turning, making horrible retching noises and every few seconds the Men in White would toss a disgusted look his way as he struggled against his restraints.

Karen was having trouble deciphering the images. The repeated entry into Laura Ravens's mind was taking a toll on Karen's, and every once in a while, she would receive little flashes of memories she knew didn't belong to her.

Normally, any residual memories would go away within a couple of hours at max, but as with everything else, the unexplained illness was exacerbating what would have otherwise been a small nuisance into a full-blown problem, causing the residual memories to stretch out over a number of days now.

I didn't finish!

This is about as far as I got until I ran out of both time and memory. Seriously, my computer is having spasms; I used all of my virtual memory trying to make this thing. And it's only...40 seconds or so long...plus a little bit at the end so you can hear more of Yoko Kanno's "Inner Universe."

Mostly, I'm upset I couldn't animate my kickass fightscene I had going around in my head. Perhaps I'll story board it and put up that and you can all just hum Inner Universe outloud or something. :sigh:

So, in conclusion--30 days and a laptop are not enough to master the skills it takes to make a minute-long animated flash. At least, not if you're a procrastinator like myself. Oh well...what I do have, I like. (If I was able to pan just a little more, Jace would've eventually disappeared, but his clothes would've stayed visible. They had their own separate layers and everything. Woe.)

Que sera, sera, folks. Maybe some day I'll get to do the whole thing. But that day is not this day. This day...we fight. Er...yeah.

EDIT:
It's not much, but I was able to animate just a tiny bit more of what the supposed training scene would have begun to look like--basically it's me fooling around in Flash for the last three hours I was able to get it to work. [link] Fire vs. Water, ya'll.

okay, now I'm really impressed. especially by that second-to-last scene with the whole alliance lineup showing off their powers, and what's-his-head who is secure in his sexuality and not gay taking off that collar and having gills. dude. therefore I am willing to forgive the giant blank space between that one scene and Blaze's half-second cameo. and the long blankness that follows, all of which I watched in case there might be something else hidden in there. which there wasn't.

furthermore, I thought I recognised the song, and lo, I did. it's from some anime thing, right? ghost in the shell? that or a video game. I have bad memories of this song... but I admit it's a good song...

did I mention this is pretty cool? JUST GET RID OF THE GIANT BLANKS AND YOU'LL BE GOLDEN.

I that was freaking sweet even if you didn't finish it. I really liked the wings part when they came out of.... crap I forget his name! I stopped using the computer for awhile and came back on, and I found these names of ppl on DA I didn't want to forget. It's been so long, I'm so far behind XD. I've got a lot of reading to do!

whoa, thats a pretty good show i think. ive read the whole alliance story. its really really good. u need to make a show that shows hte alliance story. that would be so AWESOME!!!
